GENERAL INFORMATION ON OUR CHEESE AND SPECIALTY FOODS

This site aims to provide you with only the finest cheese of the highest quality from Wisconsin and around the world including specialty cheeses, gourmet foods, original cheese baskets, gift boxes, and many specialty food items. Many of our cheeses are made on small family run farms in the time honored tradition of cheese making. This means that a number of our cheeses are made in small batches, and although absolutely fabulous, this does mean that the cheese could never be made in sufficient quantity to be available in supermarkets. As a result, some of our cheeses are often difficult or impossible to find in your local cheese shops.

Here at Cheese to Please we rave about cheese, and if you would like to be adventurous and try different cheeses from time to time, then we would be very happy to make recommendations so that you can discover some of the superb cheese on offer from the only true Dairy State. Although we carry mostly Wisconsin cheeses, we are able to offer English Double Gloucester with Stilton, Jarlsberg from Norway, creamy Castello Blue, French
St. Andre Brie, and the wonderful Italian Parmigiano-Reggiano. Other imported cheeses are available upon request. Wisconsin cheesemakers love to create new tastes, and we are fortunate to have available, Benedictine Cheese made of cow, sheep and goat milk with a washed rind and cellar cured for an earthy intense flavor, also included is a Mobay hard cheese one half is goat and one half is sheep cheese. I can highly reccomend this one myself! We also carry a soft young Chevre in several spiced flavors. Another novelty is the Juusto baked cheese whose craft was brought to this country by the Finnlanders and the Swedes. Eaten hot or cold its mild buttery taste is wonderful.It is considered the "other" sqeaky cheese besides cheese curds. If you tell us a cheese that you like, we can often help you choose other cheeses that would fall in with your tastes.
